Becoming a Vendor at the Green Thumb Farmgate Markets
- Locally grown produce stalls: Small-scale growers offering fresh, seasonal, and organic produce, ensuring customers have access to high-quality, chemical-free food.
- Local and artisan food products, such as jams, fermented food and kombuchas.
- Local Craft & Handmade Stalls (limited places available each week): Handmade, upcycled, and locally crafted goods such as handmade soaps, natural skincare, eco-friendly textiles.

Our garden programs are full of heart, joy, and connection with like-minded people. Experience the health giving benefits of growing food together, learn new skills, meet new friends, and discover why it feels so good to garden. Our programs require pre-registration. Please ensure you book early so you don't miss a place.
Requirements for Selling at the Farmgate Markets:
Compliance with Food Safety Regulations:
- Vendors are responsible for ensuring they have all necessary permissions, licenses and insurance to sell their products.
- Vendors involved in the production, processing, or transportation of certain food products (e.g., meat, eggs, dairy, seafood, horticulture produce) may require accreditation with Safe Food Production Queensland. Vendors must verify and obtain necessary accreditations to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Food products must comply with Queensland's food safety regulations, including obtaining any required Food Business Licence and meeting all relevant food handling and hygiene standards.
- Safe Food Handling Practices: All vendors must adhere to safe food handling practices, including maintaining appropriate temperatures for perishable goods and preventing cross-contamination.
To support the operation of the Farmgate Markets, vendors must choose one of the following options:
- Pay a $25 stall fee, to be paid on the day of the market (cash or credit card accepted), OR
- Join the Friends of the Farm under the volunteer program.
Stall Setup & Layout:
- Vendors may set up from 6:00 am and must be fully set up to serve customers by 8:00 am. Pack-down is only allowed after 11:00 AM.
- Vendors must bring their own tables and any accessories required for their display.
- No additional signage is permitted outside your stall area.
- Make sure to offer both cash and card payment options for customers.
- Vendors must bring their own umbrella or 3x3m marquee, which must be properly weighted down (in-ground pins are not permitted due to council event regulations).
- Parking & Access: Vendors must carry their own equipment from the designated pull-up area.
- We do not reserve specific stall spaces in advance. When you arrive at the farm, a Green Thumb Farm team member will guide you to your designated setup area.
Promotion & Social Media Engagement:
Vendors are expected to help promote the Farmgate Markets to help expand community engagement and attract more visitors by:
- Making at least one post in your social medias sharing that you are attending the Farmgate markets and tagging us @GreenThumbCommunityFarm, AND
- Reposting our Green Thumb Farm's social media post that goes out on Fridays in our Facebook and Instagram pages.
- You may also select other groups and outlets to promote the Farmgate markets, such as your website, your newsletter, and messaging family and friends.
