Hands-on Education in Food Growing, Soil Health, and Sustainability.

Let us take care of the mud so you don't have to! The Little Green Thumbs Program offers a delightful and educational opportunity for children aged 0-5 years and their carers to explore nature and the joys of growing food.

By joining the program, your little green thumb will:

Foster a love for nature: Encourage young children to connect with the natural world through hands-on activities.

Support early development: Enhance fine motor skills, creativity, and sensory exploration in a safe outdoor environment.

Promote healthy habits: Instill an appreciation for healthy eating and an understanding of where food comes from.

2026 DATES 

TERM 2 Tuesday or Wednesday mornings (8 weeks): 21 April - 10 June

Places are limited, and registration is essential.

Please note that you will need to do a separate booking for EACH day that you wish to attend.

We are not able to take term bookings.

To allow more families to participate, we kindly ask that you attend only one session per week.

Little Green Thumbs at a Glance:

Who: Children 0-5 years and their care givers

When: During QLD school terms

  • Tuesdays: 9:30am – 11:00am

  • Wednesdays: 9:30am – 11:00am

Price: This program is proudly sponsored by Moreton Bay City Council and offered free to families.

Places are limited, and booking is essential.

Where: Green Thumb farm is located in the picturesque Samford Valley, at 2204 Mt Samson Rd. Easy and free parking on site.
