Farm Friends

We invite you to support our mission and be a part of a change for good.

By volunteering and/or joining the Friends of the Farm Program, you contribute to connecting children, families and vulnerable groups with growing and eating seasonal, locally grown food, while fostering sustainable farming practices.

Here is how you can make an impact:

Volunteer at Green Thumb Farm

Green Thumb Farm runs on the power of volunteers! From planting and harvesting to maintaining our gardens and nursery, and helping at our Saturday Farmgate Market — volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

We also welcome volunteers with skills in social media, bookkeeping, and grant writing.

But volunteering isn’t just about helping us — it’s a chance to learn new skills, connect with like-minded people, and enjoy some of the beautiful seasonal produce you help grow. At the end of each working bee, volunteers take home a share of the harvest!

What We Ask

To be part of our volunteer team, we ask for a regular commitment — ideally once a week, or at a minimum, once a fortnight. This helps us provide proper training and ensures we can rely on you as part of our small team.
If you’re only looking for a one-off experience, please check out our Farmer for a Day program instead.
